Character's History
|
Trevor traveled toward Dracula's habitat, the former Bernhard castle. He breach the connected unholy church, where he discovered a new boomerang sub-weapon; he put this new tool to use, shredding to pieces a swarm of bats that crashed the party, and thereafter earned access to the catacombs that spilled out onto the castle's bridge, where he was assaulted by a hunchback-controlled Executioner. After disposing of the hooded terror, he arrived at the main entrance, where stood the mysterious Lost Soul, who denied him entry, stating, "You cannot pass yet, Trevor." Taking a more roundabout path, he claimed a Light Magic Medallion and descended to the crypt, whose most terrifying occupant engaged him in a struggle so epic that it tore through the castle's foundation and crashed open the castle's main entrance, which was convenient for Trevor. Once inside, he was again greeted by the Lost Soul, who explained how it knew what it knew--that it existed for the purpose of making sure that everything happened as it was supposed to happen. Trevor would not be able to complete his quest, it warned, and his fate had already been sealed; nothing could be done to change it, and his wife and child would suffer from his inevitable failure. Unimpressed, the incredulous Trevor angrily drew his whip and struck the Lost Soul in the jaw, shattering the bottom of its mask while robbing it of speech. Now undeterred, Trevor recovered a Dark Magic Medallion and a Stopwatch, his growing magical propensity allowing him further castle access plus the means to upgrade his weapon to the Improved Combat Cross.

Appearances

Trevor
is Mirror of Fate's fourth playable hero but chronologically its second.
Even then, anachronistically, he inherits all of the advanced abilities and
level gains (including the associated learning of combo attacks) as previously
procured by Alucard. He's at first limited to the Combat Cross, which will
eventually be upgraded to the Improved Combat Cross, which features a retractable
spur that can be used to break open certain stone doors. In addition to his
Light and Dark Magic Medallions, which operate certain doors, he'll come into
possession of two sub-weapons to supplement the Combat Cross. The last items
he'll pick are the Speed Boots, which allow him to jump long distances and
reach the endgame.
