Necromancer is Shaft-like in that
he'll make up for his physical weaknesses by magically conjuring zombies to
flood the area. At any time, he'll surround himself within a shield of orbs
before launching them one after another in your direction. When he's taken
enough damage, he'll shed the robe and reveal his true form: A devilish skeleton.
In this form, he'll continue to conjure foes--in this case bone-throwing skeletons--and
he'll turn himself into a big green ball of energy and rebound around the
room quickly; he'll repeat these attacks until defeated.

This long-haired minotaur-like creature may not
be anything more than a sub-boss, but it's ready for a fight. It likes to
exhibit its high-jumping skill by lunging forward between the three elevated
platforms contained within the chamber; the two gaps in between them will
be your only means for safety. Because of its size, it's difficult to run
underneath its high jumps and position yourself for an attack.

This magical vampire conjures the tormented
souls of unworldly beasts and skull heads to attack you; like its master,
Dracula, it'll teleport in and out, sometimes hovering through the air to
its next location, and make waves of flame rise up from the ground. When damaged
enough, it'll shapeshift into a large green monster that attacks with beams--exploding
shots that make flames rise from the ground--and it'll spit fireballs, sometimes
at a seemingly endless rapid pace.

The Order Knight, judging by its name,
is apparently a high-ranking officer within Dracula's armor-based contingent
of undead warriors (or, in this case, The Order, a subservient froup formed
by Rohan Krause). While many of those more normal are limited to ground and
close-range combat, the Order Knight is a high-flyer who takes it to the next
level. While its ability to at any time leapfrog the Belmont is what will
keep the hero off balance, in the fear the heavenly armored foe will land
on his head, it's the weaponry that'll cause the most harm. Mainly, the Order
Knight will attack a nearby hero with its sword--a fairly predictable attack--or
one distanced with bloody daggers, which can be thrown one after the other,
with little warning and thus little time to react.

Always one (or two, in this case) to
guard the subverted waterways around Dracula's castle, water dragons come
at you with dual flame attacks, sometimes short-length or sometimes in fireball
form, and some will spit water in bursts. They move in erratic patterns and
come in from unexpected locations, always managing to throw your timing, both
with your whip and mystic weapons. Because of their unpredictable nature,
it's never wise to get too close to them or a platform's edge--but you'll
be forced to if you're short on axes or boomerangs, and you'll have to cleverly
maneuver in order to strike their heads.

This is a foul fiend that nests inside
mirrors. This is a two-part battle--first against a miniature version of the
Paranoia, and then against the real deal. Both battles are largely the same:
The Paranoia dances about the air with its pirouette-like movements in an
attempt to drive the hero mad with its damaging curtsies; at any time, it
will retreat into one of the room's four corner-mounted mirrors, all of which
will adjust to different positions. The Paranoia's arm will then reach out
from any mirror and fire out a crippling beam, which will deflect off of the
three other mirrors and possibly into the hero; it will fire two such beams
before reemerging into open space.

Pazuzu appears to be a Satyr, a legendary
creature that's half man, half goat; in ancient times, it would cagily coax
innocent people into doing evil deeds. Pazuzu, like the Leviathan, likes to
jump around in an attempt to land on your head, so your positioning within
the room is key. When grounded, Pazuzu will release a spreadshot of fireballs
to keep you at a distance; good sliding and dash skills will help you to find
a hole in this attack. As secondary offense, Pazuzu will command a flock of
Tiny Devils (Imps) to fly in from overhead and temporarily distract you. When
damaged enough, it'll step up the fireball spreadshot by releasing three sets
of them in a row.

The Peeping Big is a mutated version
of those pesky floating eyes (also called "Peeping Eyes") that have
been annoying you since Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. It doesn't bring
much in terms of offense as it's simply another boss designed to overwhelm
you with size. The Peeping Big will mainly stalk you about the room and attempt
to whip you with its spike-tipped tail. Your whip slashes will propel it backwards
or cause it to bounce off the walls, floor and ceiling, so it's important
to be prepared for the backlash. The only way you can destroy it is to strike
its giant eyeball--but it can only be damaged when the eyelid is open. If
you let it live long enough, it'll tuck in its tail and begin rebounding around
the room endlessly.

These phantom guardians, closely related
to our Dark Lord, will do anything to protect their master. The usual method
of attack for a Phantom Bat is to hover above, out of reach, and dash at foes
when the opportunity presents itself; they can in addition usually spit fireballs.
Other phantom-bat forms can break up into a swarm of smaller bats, remaining
as such to continue the battle, typically crowding the area before reforming
into a whole bat.

woman, posing no realistic threat other than to hover around, it can be harmed

you if allowed to hatch. As a final attack, it'll stop, gather itself, and
dash downward quickly.

The Puppet Master is the cursed king
of dolls, and it controls said dolls as well as the dimensions. The four-armed
terror will summon many smaller dolls to hover about and crowd the area, to
distract from the rather large target that is the master's head. During the
chaos, it will pull off its best trick: It will quickly construct a human-sized
puppet and attempt to place it into one of four spike-adorned tombs, after
which it will use its dimensional control to swap the puppet with Soma, who
will instead feel the spikes' devastation if he's unable to thwart
the attempt.

As a skull of an otherwise huge unknown
creature, Puwexil has a long tongue that it will use as its main offense--it'll
lash the blasted thing across the entire room if need be. Also, it can use
its tongue to make steam blast forward, creating an otherwise impassible obstacle.
Puwexil is so huge that striking it will send shockwaves through the surrounding
chamber, causing some ceiling and background particles to cave in and fall
to the ground. The real test is finding a way to fight through the debris
and still destroy Puwexil quickly.

Rahab is a water dragon type that dominates
the sea. Within the watery battlefield, Rahab will speedily navigate around
and use its sheer size as a weapon. Though Rahab spends most of the battle
swimming below, air bubbles from its rapid movements serving as its only trace,
the action is confined to the water's surface, where Rahab has some surprises:
It can dive out from the water, straight up, for a drill attack. It will rise
up into the open space and spit out freezing water-blasts--this attack can
freeze the water's surface to create temporary platforms should you wish to
altogether avoid water-based combat. Or it will lunge through the air, well
overhead, and using its chilling disposition cause icicles to rain down.

his mind and forces him to the side of evil--the "Master Vampire Hunter,"
as listed on Symphony's list. Initially, Richter will attack with his

out major punishment. When damaged enough, he'll unleash his unbridled power,
insanely, in the form of slide kicks, uppercuts, midair dashes and stepped-up
whip and mystic weapon attacks. The green sphere above him, which is revealed
to be Shaft if you're wearing the holy glasses, can be attacked to free Richter
from that control rather than defeating him.

Rohan Krause is another in the long
line of deviants who wished to see the resurrection of Count Dracula, his
reasoning more a personal matter between himself and the Belmont family. It's
his admiration of the Dark Lord and his wicked ways that inspired Rohan's
fighting style. Rohan can teleport about at his own convenience, and he commands
some familiar attacks: These include three-directional fireballs, the middle
of which accelerates at a higher speed than those surrounding; a larger blue
fireball which moves slower but causes much more damage; a mid-size storm
of flames within which he finds sanctuary; and lightning, a crippling bolt
of which he can toss out horizontally over a fairly long range.

A powerful jouster in his day (his living days),

This time, though, his intentions are a little bit different. While riding

fireballs in your direction. When the horse has been slain, he'll weakly march
toward you, trying to muster enough strength to unleash a swing of the lance.
