These two pious illusions disappear and reappear at timed intervals. The faces breathe hatred in the form of blue spherical projectiles that rebound around the room when the faces disappear; after the faces temporarily fade out, the blue spheres will continue to bounce around the room, stalling you from attacking the real target--a sacred tower pillar that is the faces' essence--until the faces reappear. To defeat them and move on, you must destroy the pillar completely; the faces themselves cannot be damaged.
