The
Devil was a notorious lesser enemy in Circle of the Moon, so it's only
natural that the winged hellspawn would return as a boss in its follow-up.
The Devil will remain mostly airborne, and it'll constantly try to fly directly
overhead and come in from difficult angles so that it can land on top of you.
If it's unable to land, it'll eventually hover in place and fire a laser diagonally
downward, slowly moving it from left to right (or right to left, depending
on the direction it's facing). When it does finally land, it'll do one of
two things: (1) Continue its laser assault--instead firing it straight ahead.
Or (2) it'll reach back, generate flames to engulf its arm, and, with all
its might, swing forward to unleash a fiery assault. Any contact with the
Devil will result in a temporary curse.
