Mega Man X4

X4 has the standard fare. For the first time, since the game has voice-overs, you can actually tell that these characters fight rebelliously because of being labeled "mavericks." Though Sigma shows up, again, this set of robots are a part of the Repliforce, rather than followers of the example set by Sigma. All of the major bosses, sans the forms of Sigma, are located in the main Mega Man X characters page.

Storm Owl

Storm Owl initially starts out by flying all around the screen, trying to stab at X with his claws. Each time he's hit, he'll generate a protective shield to protect himself from consecutive attacks. On the ground, he'll either attack with a 3-directional laser blast or with his double cyclone. As another attack, he'll try to grasp X in his claws and ram him into the ground.

  • Weapon used: Double Cyclone
  • Weak against: Aiming Laser and Fallen Phoenix Crush

Slash Beast

All he really does is jump back and forth, using his twin slasher on X. When he's damaged by the proper weapon, he gets really angry; each time he's hit, he'll start dashing back and forth, trying to ram X with a really sharp blade, knocking X off the wall if he's clinging to one.

  • Weapon used: Twin Slasher
  • Weak against: Ground Hunter and Thunder God Attack

Web Spider

All of Web Spider's movements include dropping down from the trees above on his spindle. His only attack at the time is to shoot a heat-seeking electrical web that saps the energy out of X. When damaged sufficiently, he'll create a huge web in the center of the screen and start climbing all over it. During this time, he'll use two attacks: Either throwing down 4 smaller spiders to keep X busy, or more of the same heat-seeking, electrical webs.

  • Weapon used: Lightning Web
  • Weak against: Twin Slasher and Dragon Flame Blade

Frost Walrus

This huge reploid, always marching forward, will use his girth to ram X by either dashing across the floor, or lunging and sliding into the wall. As a second attack, he'll launch icicles from his backpack into the air, them crashing into the ground, making it difficult to move around; trapping X between the ice, he'll dash or slide into him, destroying everything along the way. Finally, he'll make an ice block appear, crushing it, sending ice shards in all directions at once.

  • Weapon used: Frost Tower
  • Weak against: Rising Fire and Dragon Flame Blade

Split Mushroom

This bouncy little fellow will cling to the walls, creating numerous holographic copies of himself, each dashing at X. As a similar attack, he'll split into 2, only 1 able to be damaged. His attack pattern then becomes like Gemini Man's—circling X, the 2 Split Mushrooms will try to confuse X.

  • Weapon used: Soul Body
  • Weak against: Lightning Web and Thunder God Attack

Magma Dragoon

I can best describe him as Mega Man X4's version of Ryu from Street Fighter 2. Jumping in the air, he'll primarily use a downward 45-degree dash. On the ground, he'll use a Hadouken fire blast, high and low; also, he'll use a shroyuken flaming uppercut. He's both the deadliest and fastest of this crop of reploids.

  • Weapon used: Rising Fire
  • Weak against: Double Cyclone and Thunder God Attack

Jet Stringray

The battle with this guy will be in the water. Hovering above the water, he has 2 types of attacks: (1) He'll swoop dash repeatedly back and forth or (2) He'll shoot out 4 little trout that drop into the water and swim back and forth, keeping X busy. While X is busy dodging the trout, he'll continue to swoop attack. He'll also lower into the water, using his jets to try to pull X into him. Finally, when damaged enough, he'll use advanced versions of his other attacks: (1) He'll drop red trout, them stronger than the blue, and (2) He'll dash up and down, unpredictably.

  • Weapon used: Ground Hunter
  • Weak against: Frost Tower and Ice Fury Slash

Cyber Peacock

Cyber Peacock will spend most of the time disappearing and reappearing. He tries to appear right on top of the position where X currently stands. Having done that, he'll elongate his tail, making it stab in 8 directions. As a secondary attack, he'll hover about, using his laser to target X; he then sends out heat-seeking missiles that just don't miss.

  • Weapon used: Aiming Laser
  • Weak against: Soul Body and Dragon Flame Blade

Grim Reaper Sigma

After revealing that it was his doing that got the Hunters and Repliforce to fight, he beckons X to a battle in his chamber. He alternates between 2 attacks: (1) He'll send out electrical spheres in both directions, all of which seek X's level and charge towards him, climbing the walls in the process, and (2) He'll gather on either side of the room and use a a deadly swooping scythe attack.

  • Weak against: Rising Fire and Dragon Flame Blade

Sigma Body #1

"Are you ready for round 2?" Sigma asks as he transforms. This version of Sigma has multiple attacks, most of which involve him jumping up and flinging his scythe around. He'll either twirl the scythe around in a circle, or he'll make it hit the ground, causing green flames to move across the floor. He'll also make a couple of boomerangs hover overhead, progressively charging in X's direction. Finally, he'll move to either side of the screen and use a powerful electrical blast, setting traps on the wall so X can't cling to safety.

  • Weak against: Lightning Web and Fallen Phoenix Crush

Ugly Face Sigma

Sigma's final form actually has 2 parts. He'll switch back and forth between this form and the one below. In between, he'll have the multicolored blocks that adorn his room pose dangerous obstacles while he switches form. This particular body has 2 attacks: (1) He'll use a wind current to try to push X into the spikes lining the wall, or (2) He'll reverse the current, trying to suck X inward—while loose bricks are being sucked in, too—before spitting the loose bricks back out.

  • Weak against: Ground Hunter and Hurricane Fang

When the appropriately called "Big Gun Sigma" is in this form (and attached to the wall), he also has 2 attacks: (2) He'll use his giant ray gun to blast in 1 of 3 directions, and (2) He'll charge up the ray gun and blast the floor, causing deadly flames to rise up everywhere. When he says "The end," it should alert X to the fact that the second of those attacks is coming.

  • Weak against: Soul Body and Dragon Flame Blade
