Eligor,
in vying for the a certain series honor, is an absurdly large demon that was
summoned to protect the castle. The systematic battle, which requires that
a number of hurdles are cleared before the main target can be approached,
commences once the presumptive hero mounts the seemingly inanimate corpse
of Eligor and is soon sent crashing into the room's right wall; it's from
this point where the hero will have to work his or her way beneath the indeed
active Eligor, then to its left side, and finally onto its back if he or she
hopes to get a clear shot at its vulnerable (and oddly placed) eye. Only after
breaking its red crystal kneecaps, which will eventually regenerate, will
it stand on its hind legs, in great pain, and leave opportunity to run beneath
it; this must be done while it alternates between dealing two sword attacks
(a downward stab or a swipe-and-drag motion, depending upon the hero's position)
and hunching down to fire arrows from an installed crossbow, which can be
destroyed. Once below, the hero will have to safely position his or herself
as Eligor treks to and fro, this to avoid direction contact and its
front-leg kick; it'll soon after execute a jump attack, which leaves the hero
time enough to exit to its left side. From here, another set of crystal kneecaps
must be destroyed as Eligor disrupts the effort with a back kick, a tail-stab,
or arrows as fired from its second, more rapidly crossbow. The kneecaps destroyed,
Eligor will slump to the ground, its tail now easily climbable and the main
target accessible; it will eventually recover and limit the onslaught with
a shoulder-block, a tail whip, or a curled-tail stab, and, when damaged greatly,
a leaning headbutt, any of which can potentially knock the hero back down
to the right side for an unfortunate restart of the cycle.
