Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness has several endings. Cornell has his own separate ending, and Henry has circumstantial endings, while Carrie and Reinhardt have two each--one good, one bad. The bad endings for both of them coincide with Charles Vincent acting as a boss before Dracula.

When Cornell defeats the initial form of "Dracula," the dark lord impostor tries to crush Cornell's spirits by using the fact that Ada is not really his blood sister (she was adopted by the man-beast tribe when she was left behind after their war with the humans)--a fact that burdens Cornell deeply. After Cornell defeats him in his Ultimate form, Dracula babbles on about how this was all part of a plan, and he quickly tries to grab the encapsulated Ada and drag her into the underworld. Cornell releases his wolf form to save Ada and sacrifice it as her replacement.

Cornell and Ada race to outside the castle, where Henry--who escaped using the pendant given to him by Cornell--catches up with them. They all set down by a fire. With their village having been burned down and Henry's family having been killed, they have nowhere to go.
