Curse
of Darkness Arsenal ![]()
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is the eventuality of a series that has over the years grown more and more complicated in terms of its weaponry and the "systems" that have come govern each game. Curse of Darkness has plenty of both. For this reason, Curse of Darkness' is (so far) the largest of the weapons features, measuring in at a whopping five pages worth of precious megabytes. The five pages are home to seven covered categories: (1) The Items, with its four sub-categories. (2) Equippable Weapons and Armor. (3) Weapon Combining in detail. (4) The Innocent Devils and their system of evolution. (5) Stealing and how Hector can pull it off. (6) Chairs and where to find them. And (7) Skills and the process of showcasing them. (Thanks to Kev for providing many of the items, descriptions and locations.)
The Items
There are plenty of normally-functioning and magical items for Hector to collect and utilize. These include Usable Items, which are gathered into Hector's inventory and harnessed for circumstantial use; Rare Items, which are inventory-only and have a constant effect on the mission; Materials, which are usually well hidden and to a larger degree dropped by or stolen from enemies and used in the creation of new weapons via Hector's combining ability; and Devil Shards, which are created by Innocent Devils when certain requirements have been met. All items outside of Devil Shards can be attained through three separate means: As listed, they can be dropped by enemies, stolen from enemies (see page five), or found in certain locations.
