Haunted Castle was for all these years the series' only unique arcade representative, a product without a PC or console equal. It looked to remain so until 2006, when Konami gave license to a Japanese company called Hamster Corporation, whose publishing branch re-releases classic titles under the name "Oretachi." Hamster brings to the PS2 Oretachi Geasen Zoku Sono 15: Akumajou Dracula--the arcade "classic," as it was--and gives console owners a taste of Haunted Castle's brand of horror (in more ways than one). Sadly, for those who were waiting to experience another lost title, its release is a Japan-only affair.

Featured below is the game's assortment of packaging material, which includes the casing and manual, a special guide, bonus material, and more. All of the scans were contributed by Protogem, collector extraordinaire, who provides us with some special notes: (1) "The three-inch mini-CD has the whole arcade soundtrack, and a medley-arranged song. (2) The mini-DVD has a music video and half of an instructional playing video. (3) The actual game is nothing but an emulator on a CD; it's not even a DVD (and though it's just my opinion, you could say that the emulation is better on MAME or even on a modded Xbox)."
